Loggings April 1

 The evening of April 1st was a fairly good one, given the current conditions, to hear continental American stations.

The highlight was Radio Morena from Guayaquil in Ecuador on 640 kHz with barely a sign of KFI in Los Angeles - normally the dominant station.

Reports have gone out to Radio Morena and Uniminuto Radio 1580 in Bogotá Colombia.

1140c  0619    CUBA R Surcos (Tentative) fair at best with id given. It sounded like Radio Cinco, but could well have been Surcos. Signal deteriorated as darkness set in. 1/4 

1180c  0738    USA R Marti seems to be back. Good signal. 1/4 

1280c  0802    USA KXTK Arroyo Grande Fair/ poor with sports. Splash from 1278. 1/4 

1360c  0807    UNKNOWN LATIN – fervent religious talk. Fair at best. It wasn’t Bienestar or Cielo – didn’t match web feed 1/4 

1470c  0613    PERU R Megamix Fair/ good with pops. Good id for Radio Megamix, then more lively mx. CWIS. 1/4 

1580    0637    USA KBLA Sta Monica CA fair with talk but mixed. 1/4
